Who am I ?

Maria & coffee story
I was born in Colombia,
one of the world’s leading coffee-producing countries. Coffee is part of daily life and sits at the heart of social interactions.
Passion for dramas
At the age of 18, I moved to Paris to study audiovisual media. I earned my master’s degree and worked for television networks, focusing on programming strategies, content production management, communication, editing, and marketing.
Korean series introduced me to a different way of storytelling, while Thai series showed me another form of queer representation — with strong yet sensitive women who are above all chic, independent, and powerful.
Family business
In 2023, I helped my brother open a café in Bogotá, in honor of our grandmother, who played a central role in our lives. This project allowed me to explore the world of coffee more deeply — discovering flavor profiles, preparation methods, and building connections with distributors who share our values.
A mix of cultures
Today, I work as a freelance consultant in digital media, app development, and project management. I’ve lived in Vancouver, Bogota & Paris and traveled extensively. Asian culture has deeply captivated me — its cuisine, fashion, spirituality, storytelling… especially tea and beverages — which led me to envision a multicultural and inclusive café.
